About

Building clever game solutions

not just skinning a game with a brand

Crow Loop Studio

Behind the studio is Guido Göbbels, a game designer, creative producer, and design director with over a decade of experience developing digital games for brands and young audiences. From first ideas and game mechanics through production and delivery, he pairs creative game design with a solid feel for realistic budgets, timelines, and brand requirements.

Experience that plays along

Guido studied at the Köln International School of Design and has worked professionally in the games industry since 2014. He co-founded Room 247 Studio, where he developed grant-funded prototypes and took on responsibility for concept, production, and teams early on.

At Flying Sheep Studios, he guided and led the development of more than 100 client projects over many years for international brands including LEGO, Mattel, and DreamWorks. From 2022 on, as Design Director, he owned the interface between design, art, and project management — including international productions with teams in Germany and Malaysia.

Further roles as Product Lead at PLAYT.net and as Creative Producer and Art Director at Wegesrand broadened that experience further: from game economy and live features, through QA and production processes, to storytelling, client communication, and leading interdisciplinary teams.

Why Crow Loop?

Crows are intelligent, curious, and use tools to solve problems. That's exactly what Crow Loop Studio is about: finding the right playful solution for a brand, a format, and an audience.

"Loop" is a deliberate part of the name too. It stands for the core game loop — the repeating heartbeat of every game — for the feedback loop at the center of how a project runs, and for the magic circle: the special space where play works by its own rules. Or in short: good ideas, built cleanly, and fun to play.

What clients can expect

Crow Loop Studio develops tailor-made browser games for kids, teens, and family audiences. HTML5 makes games accessible directly in the browser with no download — on desktop, tablet, or smartphone. That lowers the barrier to entry and makes the format especially well suited to campaigns, broadcaster, and brand platforms.

The studio officially launches on 01.09.2026. But the standard is already set: clear communication, strong game ideas, and productions matched to project scope — so a brand ends up with a game people genuinely want to play.

What former colleagues say

Professional references from Guido's employment history — distinct from client testimonials, which will live on the Testimonials page as Crow Loop Studio takes on its first clients.

I cannot overstate how critical Mr. Göbbels was to the success of Flying Sheep over the 9 years of his tenure. Our 10-year relationship with our biggest client SUPER RTL would not have been possible without his skill at fostering long-lasting relationships.

Exceptional creativity, strong expertise, and outstanding strategic understanding — he grasped complex requirements and turned them into precise, convincingly presented concepts.
