The challenge
The client wanted a competitive action game — that's what resonates with the target audience of boys around age 10. But the IP itself is built on teamwork: Ghostbusters hunt as a team, not against each other.
Ghostbusters × Playmobil
A cooperative ghost hunt with a competitive layer on top, built for Playmobil's Ghostbusters line.

The client wanted a competitive action game — that's what resonates with the target audience of boys around age 10. But the IP itself is built on teamwork: Ghostbusters hunt as a team, not against each other.
I designed cooperative ghost-hunting with a competitive layer on top: players hunt together, but compete over who catches the most ghosts. This keeps the competition between players while staying true to the brand's story — the Ghostbusters hunt ghosts, not each other.
Top 10 most-played games of the week on Toggo. It performed well enough that the client commissioned a second version reusing the same core mechanic, reskinned with Alvin and the Chipmunks — proof the mechanic had value beyond the original IP.
A note on the numbers: these are kids'-audience placements, so there's no funnel or retargeting data. "Most-played" is the platform's own ranking, not a marketing metric — I'd rather say that plainly than dress it up.
